From November 5th to 8th 2018, members of the DOIT project team from Salzburg Research and YouthProAktiv got the great opportunity to participate in the Social Innovation Village during the Websummit conference in Lisbon.
The WebSummit is known as the largest tech conference in the world and for the second time, the initiative “Social Good Accelerator” organized the Social Innovation Village, where DOIT, along 22 other projects, was invited to present its vision, goals and achievements for all the community and stakeholders.
In addition to the DOIT presentation at a booth on Wednesday and great side events, our team had the opportunity to hear inspiring presentations on technology and social innovation. A highlight was the panel discussion “More Social Good in Tech, more Tech in Social Good” with great participants such as Carlos Moedas, European Commisoner for Research, Science and Innovation.
It was a great opportunity to network with other projects, organisations, policy makers, supporters and the media and fuel the goal of creating a strong European network for social innovation and entrepreneurial education!
