DOIT has had the support of experts from various fields since the start of the project. These experts support the DOIT team e.g. as counselors, during activities and disseminations and provide advice and practical support with their specialist knowledge. Together with interested children, they form the Intergenerational Advisory Board (IAB). On November 8th, DOIT had an Advisory Board meeting (online), to discuss the project progress and plan further actions and expert meetings. Read on to get to know our board members! On December 13th, Dr. Sandra Schön will hold a webinar on the principles and measures that can ensure greater participation by girls in makerspaces. Sandra Schön and colleagues looked at proven practice models of gender-sensitive work with girls in the context of STEM: How do maker spaces reach more girls? What conditions should be created?
“Recognizing and exploiting digital chances” is the topic of the 8th EURegio media day which will take place in Traunreut, Germany on November 21st. Our DOIT project coordinator Sandra Schön will give a presentation on “Making for Beginners”.
The large network created by DOIT’s partners provides great opportunities to share the project. Our partner at YouthProAktiv, Paloma Cantero Goméz, has published an article on Social Innovators, in which she also discusses the important role that DOIT plays in teaching skills.
